Due to COVID-19 and the status of our outreach volunteers either being at risk themselves or having loved ones at risk, we are cancelling outreach for the summer and will reevalaute in August. We are still doing adoptions on an individual basis with as little contact as possible (application completed ahead of time). This is extremely hard on a small nonprofit, as it is on the entire community. It is our sincere hope that people do what is needed to stay safe and in time, our hope that people will again want to look at kitties for adoption. Their reproductive and surrender cycle doesn't match our needs! _____________________________________ Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) : : Male (neutered) : : Young

My name is Locket and I’m a stunning black kitten with a little white locket on my neck. Sounds a little girly, but my foster mom thought it was a fast and easy way to identify me from my all black brother. Besides, she sings a song about me! “I’ve got a Locket, a Locket full of purr-shine…” Locket is a wonderful and super-sweet domestic shorthaired black kitten who loves to play and purr. He lives with other foster cats and kittens and gets along well with them. Locket has not really been exposed to dogs and noise and children but he is expected to adjust to anything quickly. He is one of the most solid and adaptable kittens in this foster home. Locket loves to play, snuggle, eat, and play – with wrestling right in there, too! He has a delightful purr-talk, loves his treats (canned food because mom’s a sucker and Temptations treats when she has to open a drawer in that cabinet), and laser light is fun, too. Mostly, he wants a home with someone (one or more) to love him and talk to him. He is very interactive. It is totally within the realm of possibility that he would make best friends with any critter in the home – he just loves life! Locket has been neutered; microchipped; tested for feline leukemia and feline AIDS; treated for fleas, ear mites, and worms; and is current on vaccinations. Adoption fee is $120 cash, or adopt another at 2 for $220 (drops to $110 each)! To meet or adopt Locket, please contact foster mom Gail at gail.andy@comcast.net or by phone at 360-336-1009 or 360-420-2183 (please call both numbers and leave messages).
