Bear is a 3 year old female Setter/Shepherd mix who was found in a ditch by the sheriff department after being hit by a car.  She has stolen her foster mother’s heart and the heart of many who have helped her through her recovery time.

Bear was taken to a veterinarian and stabilized, but when her owners were found, they no longer wanted the dog and the surgery window had passed for her injury.  Bear now has a limp that she will have the rest of her long and active life.

Bear is one of the friendliest dogs; she loves all the cats and other dogs and is so happy to be around people. She loves to just be someone’s best buddy!  She follows her foster mom daily around the yard and plays with any of her mom’s pets that are out at the time.  Bear loves to run and chase toys or rabbits, but most of all she is so happy to just lay on the deck and wait for her human buddies. When she hears the food being served she carries her bowl in her mouth to the door just to make sure she is not forgotten.  This girl is a real treasure and will fit into anyone’s family.  She will need room to run and people to show her just how special she is to them.

Bear has been spayed, microchipped, treated for fleas and worms, and is current on her vaccinations.  To meet this wonderful girl, please contact Colleen at 360-629-3144 or colleen2jan@att.net.  To begin the process of adoption, please complete the dog adoption application found at www.friendsforliferescue.org
