Samhain is a sweet, extremely shy little cat who has come a long way in her journey from being a feral cat in a parking lot. She is loving the indoor life and has a very gentle presence. Occasionally she will allow her foster Mom to pet her, but she prefers to just sit by and be acknowledged and watch what she's doing. But she does love play time with people! Her favorite toys are crinkle balls, wand toys and fuzzy mice. Samhain also LOVES other cats and is a great companion to them. We are hoping to find her a home that can continue helping to build her confidence with people. 

 

Samhain is bonded to her best friend Mewl Brynner and must go to a home with him. He is the total opposite of her and wants all the attention from people and snuggle time. Being with him has helped her really come out of her shell! They both love to romp around and play together. Samhain does well with all cats (Mewl does not) that she's met and she's getting more comfortable with small gentle dogs. She will not be a good fit with children. Her ideal home would be with someone who wants to work with her on her shyness and understands cat behavior. It should be somewhat quiet and predictable. 

 

Samhain will require an indoor only home, ideally with a secure catio. Samhain is very good about not scratching on things she shouldn't as long as she is provided with sufficient things to scratch on like cardboard scratchers, cat trees etc. Absolutely NO declawing . She is quite the climber and will need access to multiple cat trees if possible. She drinks from a filtered cat fountain and a water bowl. Samhain is very good and tidy with her litter box and uses Oko Cat wood litter. 

 

Purrsonality : Shy, sweet, playful, curious

All available animals are spayed or neutered, microchipped, current on vaccinations, and treated for fleas, worms, and ear mites. All cats/kittens are tested for feline leukemia and feline AIDS. Some cats have been vaccinated for rabies. Adoption fees are cash or check only.
