Friends for Life Animal Rescue
|HomeAnimalsAbout UsContact Us|
Due to COVID-19 and the status of our outreach volunteers either being at risk themselves or having loved ones at risk, we are cancelling outreach for the summer and will reevalaute in August. We are still doing adoptions on an individual basis with as little contact as possible (application completed ahead of time).
This is extremely hard on a small nonprofit, as it is on the entire community. It is our sincere hope that people do what is needed to stay safe and in time, our hope that people will again want to look at kitties for adoption. Their reproductive and surrender cycle doesn't match our needs!

Whitney and Celine are beautiful, silky-soft 6 mo old tortie sisters rescued from a barn near Big Lake. They were trapped as older kittens so are still learning to be brave around peeps because their mama taught them to not trust us.
Their foster home is a bit chaotic and not the best environment for two shy girls to bloom, but they are starting to come out of hiding and are very receptive to being bribed with tasty treats! They are also very interested in the other cats in their foster home and are exposed from a safe distance to the two dogs in the home. At this point in time, we do not think they would do well in a home with rowdy critters or small kiddos.
It would be nice if they found a home together to grow in, but as long as there is another friendly cat in the home to show them the ropes and give them affection, they could be adopted separately.
Both girls have been spayed, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, vaccinated, microchipped and treated for any parasites.
If you have a rescuers patient and loving heart and feel you might be able to offer one or both of our shy beauties a safe home, please contact Laura at (540) 272-3506.
