Friends for Life Animal Rescue
|HomeAnimalsAbout UsContact Us|
Due to COVID-19 and the status of our outreach volunteers either being at risk themselves or having loved ones at risk, we are cancelling outreach for the summer and will reevalaute in August. We are still doing adoptions on an individual basis with as little contact as possible (application completed ahead of time).
This is extremely hard on a small nonprofit, as it is on the entire community. It is our sincere hope that people do what is needed to stay safe and in time, our hope that people will again want to look at kitties for adoption. Their reproductive and surrender cycle doesn't match our needs!

Sage is a VERY playful, quirky, energetic but shy approximately 5 month old male. He was trapped in July by his current foster parents, living in some berry bushes with his three brothers. He has made so much progress in the 1.5 months that he has been with them! Sage is looking for a forever home that can continue working on building his confidence and socialization with people. Sage can be a bit bossy with his toys and food, so if he does have a cat companion they would need to be all right with his sassy pants behavior. He is the dominant cat of the group, always the first one up to get treats or to pounce on a toy!
Sage also loves to take toys and hide them as well as socks, underpants, paper etc. He is like a little dragon with his treasure hoard! He recently has started to enjoy being pet on his terms, he does snuggle (and pounce on feet) at night and loves to interact with play time the most, but also treats. He has interacted with our older, mellow dog and seems fine but would not do well with a loud, boisterous dog or with young children. Sage uses the litter box like a pro and will need plenty of cat trees and scratching posts/boards to climb and scratch on to deter him from furniture and crazy climbing adventures.
Sage's ideal home : shy cat savvy adopters, calm and predictable household, indoor only, no declawing, no young children.
Traits : Energetic, playful, shy, curious, goofy.
