Friends for Life Animal Rescue

Due to COVID-19 and the status of our outreach volunteers either being at risk themselves or having loved ones at risk, we are cancelling outreach for the summer and will reevalaute in August. We are still doing adoptions on an individual basis with as little contact as possible (application completed ahead of time).
This is extremely hard on a small nonprofit, as it is on the entire community. It is our sincere hope that people do what is needed to stay safe and in time, our hope that people will again want to look at kitties for adoption. Their reproductive and surrender cycle doesn't match our needs!

Briar is a shy, but extremely sweet approximately 5 month old male. He was trapped in July by his current foster parents, living in some berry bushes with his three brothers. He has made so much progress in the 2 months that he has been with them! Briar is looking for a forever home that can continue working on building his confidence and socialization with people. He likes to be pet on his own terms, but is always wanting to be near his foster parents, interacting, playing, taking treats and snuggling at night. Briar is GREAT with the adult kitties in his foster home and will definitely need a cat friend to assist in building his confidence and to give him company. He has been extremely polite and respectful with the elderly cats, and has a gentle way of approaching the others for play or cuddles. Briar has also been around an old, mellow dog and even sits or lays by her on occasion and seems to not be bothered by her at all. He would probably not do well with loud, boisterous dogs as well as young children. He has done very well scratching only on his cardboard cat scratcher and uses the litter box like a pro!
