Friends for Life Animal Rescue
|HomeAnimalsAbout UsContact Us|
Due to COVID-19 and the status of our outreach volunteers either being at risk themselves or having loved ones at risk, we are cancelling outreach for the summer and will reevalaute in August. We are still doing adoptions on an individual basis with as little contact as possible (application completed ahead of time).
This is extremely hard on a small nonprofit, as it is on the entire community. It is our sincere hope that people do what is needed to stay safe and in time, our hope that people will again want to look at kitties for adoption. Their reproductive and surrender cycle doesn't match our needs!

Dulcie is a 12 mos. old pretty calico girl with a big personality. She was rescued as an older kitten from an industrial bog area, so, though quite happy to be an active, curious indoor kitty, she will need to assess you for a while before allowing pets.
Dulcie is very confident and likes to be right in the middle of things until it’s time to curl up for a nap. She is a master bug catcher and very fascinating to watch. Dulcie gets along well with her foster siblings after a short adjustment period, and seems to bond very well with the adult male cats in her home.
Dulcie is not fazed at all by the German shepherd in her foster home, and even greets her nose to nose. She won’t be interested in small children, but probably won’t be upset by them either. She would not be a good candidate for young kids looking for cuddles.
Dulcie has been spayed, tested for FeLV/FIV, vaccinated, microchipped and has been treated for any parasites.
If you would like a fun, active kitty to keep you entertained or you have a kitty who needs company while you are at work, Dulcie may be a good fit for you. She is showing every sign of being interested in making a human connection and we feel that in the right, patient home, she may well bloom into a friendly little gal!
If you think yours might be the right home for our pretty little Dulcie, please contact her foster mom, Laura, at (540) 272-3506.
If you happen to be looking for a pair of cats, her half brother, Murphy (same mom, different litter), is also available for adoption.
