Friends for Life Animal Rescue
|HomeAnimalsAbout UsContact Us|
Due to COVID-19 and the status of our outreach volunteers either being at risk themselves or having loved ones at risk, we are cancelling outreach for the summer and will reevalaute in August. We are still doing adoptions on an individual basis with as little contact as possible (application completed ahead of time).
This is extremely hard on a small nonprofit, as it is on the entire community. It is our sincere hope that people do what is needed to stay safe and in time, our hope that people will again want to look at kitties for adoption. Their reproductive and surrender cycle doesn't match our needs!

Lovely Harlequin is a sweet, serene tortie who has her mama's gentle personality. (Who says all torties have tortitude?!) Harlequin loves to play with her siblings but in a calmer manner. She'll quietly watch her brothers tussle over a toy, then swoop in and grab it and carry it off like a trophy. We are pretty sure we see a smile behind that tattered feather toy she stole! Her sister Shenandoah is also gentle and calm. It may be a case of two girls outnumbered by eight boys, but they watch and learn and manage to best those rowdy boys pretty much at will. It makes us laugh!
Harlequin is uniquely and gorgeously colored and has a wise old soul looking out of eyes as multicolored as the rest of her. She gets along well with other cats and should do fine with a well mannered dog. Like her siblings (Roosevelt, Lincoln and Shenandoah), Harlie was very lucky that a caring couple put her stray (but sweet) mama into our care for her kittens to be born. Now they are all ready to find their forever loving homes!
Because she and her siblings were born indoors and never had to be taught how to survive outside, they must be indoor only cats.
Harlequin has been spayed, microchipped, tested for feline leukemia and feline AIDS, is current on vaccinations, and has been treated for fleas, ear mites, and worms. Her adoption fee is $120.
For more information or to adopt, please contact foster mom Laura by phone or text at 540-272-3506.
