Oriel is a medium haired black tuxedo beauty with a fluffy tail and the most stunning green eyes!  She is a young stray who was rescued by FFLAR from the yard of an abandoned home where the owner had been feeding the strays, but sadly had to leave, so the cats were left without a reliable food source. 

Oriel took exception at first to being snatched against her will, but a safe environment and lots of love and kind words have her deciding that life is super great when you aren't having to fend for yourself in a scary world.  She is still working a bit on being brave, but she is always happy to greet her foster mom and likes her chin and ears rubbed.  She even grabs our hands when we stop too soon!  She is also practicing her flirting, flopping over and batting her gorgeous eyes to get our attention. We are pretty convinced that once she sheds the last of her caution, she's going to be a rock star in a lucky person's life!

Oriel is cautious around strange cats (necessary in the wild), but not aggressive.  She lives in peace with other cats in her room, though they each have their own personal boundaries.  She has not been exposed to dogs or kids, but though she is still learning her social skills now, we feel her quick progress and willingness to trust are good signs that she would adapt to any new environment well, if done correctly.  FFLAR would work with potential adopters on the best way to introduce her into your home.
