Golden Bear (Golden) and his two litter mates were saved by some alert humans who noticed that their feral mother cat hadn't returned to her babies - and who knew that 4-day old kittens wouldn't survive on their own! The litter was rushed to Friends for Life Animal Rescue, where they were bottle-fed until able to feed themselves and raised with lots of love.

Golden loves to snuggle and will readily fall limp and asleep on his back in your arms as you rub his neck or tummy. He enjoys naps in the sun and lots of play, canned food treats, and sometimes a nice purr-ful chat with his people. He is definitely a kitty for someone who wants interaction and cuddles, not an aloof one!

Golden would be fine with other cats or as an only kitty. He has seen dogs but has not interacted with them; with a respectful dog and a good introduction period, he would likely be fine. He does enjoy respectful kids, too.

Golden tested negative for feline leukemia and feline AIDS and is neutered, microchipped, and current on vaccinations. He has been treated for fleas, ear mites, and worms. His adoption fee is $120 (payable in cash or by check - sorry, no cards). Golden will still need his booster shot and rabies vaccination, which are at the adopter's expense.

For more information about or to meet and/or adopt Golden, please contact foster Karen Sorsdal at 360-757-6589 or 360-333-7041 (please call both numbers and leave messages!) or via e-mail at Karen.sorsdal@comcast.net
